Bear Creek Anniversaries

Karaoke at the Creek

It sounded better than ‘American Idol’ tryouts to the Bear Creek Golf Club members and guests. They were surprisingly entertained on Saturday evening, January 23rd by some local talent who have great voices, know how to stay in tune, and get your attention.

For the first time out of the box, Karaoke at the Creek seems to have hit a long ball. One of the guests was overheard saying, “This was the best time I’ve had at the club in a long, long time.”

The new owners of the Bear Creek Golf Course wanted to experiment with a fun evening for its members by presenting karaoke in their lounge. Things started slow but the crowd got into it after the first couple of songs. When it was time to wrap it up, the folks wanted more and the evening continued a half hour longer then the scheduled stop time.

The music ranged from the old standards, country-western, show tunes, 60s and 70s oldies, patriotic songs, and even group singing. You name it, we had it. Some country tunes had them up line dancing, and some of the old standards had them slow dancing. It was a very relaxed crowd. Watch for the next Karaoke at the Creek night and be there for a great time!
